Save the Date: 2012 GlobeMed Global Health Summit!

The 2012 GlobeMed Global Health Summit will take place on April 12-14 in Evanston, IL!
It will bring together more than 300 GlobeMed university students from across the country for four days of intensive lectures and workshops with representatives from partner organizations and a range of experts. The Summit is designed to prepare GlobeMed students as leaders by fostering knowledge-sharing, collaboration, personal discernment, and community-building.
This year’s theme, Walking Together, Walking Far: Partnership as a Framework for Meaningful Action, explores the potential of partnerships to achieve global health equity. Specifically, the 2012 Summit examines the philosophical and practical dimensions of effective, solidarity-based partnerships across various sectors. Applications for this year’s Summit will become available in early January.
The 2011 GlobeMed Global Health Summit took place at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL from April 7-10 and explored the theme, A Call to Action: Leveraging History to Build A Movement. Drawing from a rich history of past social movements, the Summit challenged students to envision their role in a movement for global health equity capable of building a world with justice in health.
