GlobeMed hires new Chapter Advisor
GlobeMed is delighted to announce that Ashley Hagaman has joined the Central Staff as the new Chapter Advisor. Ashley hails from University of Michigan, where she was the President of the chapter.

In her role as the Chapter Advisor, she will be training and supporting student-leaders at GlobeMed chapters across the country. Her background and history of effective leadership at the University of Michigan chapter will allow her to share important lessons and ideas with students. At Michigan, the Chapter partnered with the Mali Health Organizing Project to fully equip a new health center in rural Mali by raising over $6,000. Additionally, the chapter worked with a local clinic in Detroit to organize health education classes and increase access to information for uninsured people in Detroit.

Says Ashley, "I am extremely excited to join the national organization and work with students across the country. The impact we had on students, in Mali, and in Detroit was terrific while I was at Michigan and I'm looking forward to being part of an effort to build a broader movement".

As the Chapter Advisor, Ashley's role will be to train and support student-leaders at Chapters through ongoing programs and communication during the year. She will be the primary point of contact between the Chapters and the Central Staff and will work with the rest of the staff team to strengthen resources for the entire Network.
