GlobeMed will expand to 15 new campuses in 2011-2012

We are thrilled to announce that, after the most competitive Chapter Founder application cycle in our organization's history, we have selected 15 outstanding student leaders to found GlobeMed chapters on their campuses in 2011-2012. By accepting these Founders, our network will grow to 46 chapters strong. Chosen from a pool of over 50 applicants, these students demonstrated the passion, leadership, vision, and clarity of purpose that GlobeMed's work requires in our student leaders. Visit our blog to meet and read about our 2011 Chapter Founders.

We approach our Founder application process with such rigor because we believe it is our responsibility to select students who grasp the seriousness of the commitment made between a chapter and its partner organization. Through these partnerships, our new founders will continue their development as advocates for global health and social justice and will improve the health of 15 impoverished communities.

Over the next 4 weeks, we will be working with the Partner Search Fellows, Evan Blank and Evan Rausch, to select the partner organizations that will be paired with each of these new chapters. Stay tuned for news of the 15 new grassroots health organizations we will have the privilege of working with in 2011-2012!

These applicants absolutely blew us away, and we are leaping out of our skin to see what they accomplish in their first year as GlobeMed leaders. Welcome to the GlobeMed Family, Founder Class of 2011-2012!
