GlobeMed at Truman State University recently received praise from their partner organization, Maison De Naissance. Created as a birthing home, Maison De Naiisance works to provide care to mothers and babies in extreme poverty in Torbeck, Haiti. The partnership between GlobeMed at Truman State and Maison De Naissance has developed over the past two years.
From the Maison De Naissance website:
"The Truman State University chapter of GlobeMed is assisting MN from near and far. A group of students are planning toward their volunteer work in Haiti once their semester ends. In the meantime, they are assisting via MN's on-line data systems by helping with data entry, analysis, and providing much needed information for workers in the field. MN is greatful for their help in this innovative internet approach to global help volunteerism."
