GlobeMed is seeking a student or recent graduate to help advance GlobeMed's impact on college campuses across the country and health organizations around the world.

This individual will help shape GlobeMed’s partnership activities through the months of January, 2012 to August, 2012.  Additionally, he/she will support GlobeMed’s GROW Interns on all preparation, including training, grant applications, and risk management. 

Weekly commitment: 20-30 hours

Length of commitment: January - August 2012. May present opportunity for continuation past August.

Must be available to start the job in Evanston, IL by January 16 at the latest.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Support Partnerships Team on development of content and logistics for four regional GROW Trainings
  • Work with the National Office staff to develop, supervise, and critically assess GROW grant applicants
  • Work with National Office staff to select and match new partner organizations
  • Manage all GROW documentation, including health insurance information, Health, Safety & Waiver forms, and travel logistics
  • Support Program Directors on GROW advising while interns are on-site
  • Support Partnerships Team on all other development of content for documents, webinars, and evaluations

Qualifications: 

  • Has at least one year of experience in a GlobeMed chapter
  • Preferably a past GROW Team member
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills
  • Motivated, responsible, and comfortable tackling challenges independently
  • Great attention to detail
  • Experience with university administrative processes, preferably with an understanding of the financial aid system
  • Creative and passionate about global health equity
  • Sense of humor

This is a part time position with a minimum of 20 hours per week, but must be willing to commit longer hours during peak periods including weekends and evenings as needed, including four weekends committed to GROW trainings in four cities across the country. This position will receive entry-level part time salary plus benefits.
