To our beloved network:

Welcome back! This Fall, GlobeMed is kicking off its 5th year, and is thrilled to be entering the new school year with a diverse and passionate group of students, university-based chapters, grassroots partners, faculty and supporters. We're bigger and bolder than ever before, and are so excited to see what we can accomplish as a network this year through leadership and solidarity, in the field of global health. Before we dive into the year ahead, scroll through the photos below to take a look at what GlobeMed's been up to during Summer 2011 and what you can expect from us in the coming month as we launch into the 2011 - 2012 year.

In the week leading up to the United Nations meeting on Non-Communicable Diseases on Sept. 19 - 20, the GlobeMed network will be mobilizing students on college campuses nationwide to raise awareness and encourage attendees to draw focus to endemic NCDs and its effects on our partner communities and people living in poverty around the world.
