Responsibilities in Securing Global Health: A Multi-Sectoral Approach – Dr. Neeraj Mistry

Various actors shape global health outcomes and disparities. Improving global health now takes the collective efforts of government, the private sector, and financial institutions, among others. With the increasing student interest in global health, it is vital that students understand this context. Catalyzing a “generational calling” for global health requires a broad vision for how to influence global health through various institutional processes.

Thus, the purpose of this panel is to introduce students to the key responsibilities that the government, corporations, and financial institutions have in securing global health. Discussing their approaches and understanding how these actors inter-relate will enable students to better conceptualize emerging institutional orders in global health. This analysis will be important for students as they look to shape their professional paths in global health.
